Goathland is a very attractive but busy village in the North York Moors in North Yorkshire. It is the setting for the fictional “Aidensfield” in ITVs popular TV programme Heartbeat. There is also a station there for the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors steam railway line.

It is a popular tourist destination and has many useful amenities including a pub, tea room, shops, and a post office.
