No tour of Scotland or the Highlands is complete without a trip to Loch Ness. Loch Ness is over 20 miles long, a mile wide and 700 feet at its deepest, Loch Ness is the largest body of water in Scotland by volume, and second only to Loch Lomond. As well as the history and legend of the Loch itself, and the infamous Loch Ness monster, Nessie, the surrounding area is a beautiful landscape full of wildlife and a multitude of visitor attractions. It is also very close to Inverness.
