| The House and the Earl's garden is open to the general public between 23 March to 30 September 2008 - Sunday to Thursday 11am to 4.30pm, last admission 4pm. They are closed on Fridays and Saturdays.

This historic house with its 865 acres of stunning grounds was built between 1547 and 1553 for the Edgcumbe family. It was sold to Cornwall County and Plymouth City Councils in 1971, along with all the historic furniture and treasures, in order for the public to enjoy its beauty.
