This house has belonged to the Graham family since 1624 and was famously visited by Charlotte Bronte in 1838. Family furntiure, costumes and ceramics are on display. The paintings in the Great Hall and on the main staircase include a notable collection of family portraits and a celebrated John Ferneley, 'The Quorn Hunt', painted in 1822.
The house stands in a fine park. The mid 18th century walled garden, which stands near the house, is in full cultivation. Its attractions include an Orangery, herbaceous borders and a small sales area specialises in unusual hardy plants.
