The original HM Bark Endeavour was built in 1768 in Whitby, and would carry Captain Cook to South America, Tahiti and New Zealand on his round-the-world voyage of discovery.
A 40%-scaled authentic replica stands in the water of Whitby harbour, built in the same traditional manner by local craftsmen, ready to take visitors on a voyage around the pictureque Whitby coastline and its wildlife on one of its regular sailings throughout the year.
