Located on the eastern edge of the Monadh Liath Mountains originally an Illicit still, Tomatin goes back to the 15th Century when drovers - men who 'drove' their cattle to market over high mountain passes - would fill up their whisky flasks from a still alongside the Old Laird's House.
In 1985 the Distillery was acquired by Japanese shareholders, who established The Tomatin Distillery Co Ltd and secured the future of whisky distilling in the Monadhliath hills. Tomatin now operates 12 stills, and in 2007 produced 2.5 million litres.

Available throughout the day, everyday (FREE OF CHARGE)are samples of the Tomatin 12 year old Single Highland Malt whisky and of the award-winning Culloden Cream Liqueur.
