Although Urquhart Castle now stands in ruins, it appears impressive set against the fantastic Loch Ness.  There is a rich history to be discovered involving the battles and the noble families of the castle.  The story of the castle is told in the exhibition and audio-visual display in the visitors centre.  There is also a veranda outside the centre where visitors can enjoy the stunning views of the Loch.  There is also an opportunity to relax in the café and visit the gift shop with its local crafts.
