Camber Sands is the biggest sand beach in the South East of England, with one of the longest stretches of sand dunes in England. If you want the perfect beach (and amazing dunes for the kids to play in) then this is top of the list, although be prepared for some crowds on hot weekends in the holidays. 7 miles of Blue Flag award winning beach, at low tide the beach dramatically deepens as the sea receeds it seems for miles.
Camber is one of the best places for learning to kite surf and wind surf in the country with a vast expanse of waist-deep water extending out for about a mile into the sea. The consistent on shore breezes also guarantee very few disappointed windsurfers and kite surfers who rock up excitedly each day of the season and most weekends out.
