A true ‘field to fork’ experience; kids spend the day at organic farm, Muck & Magic, where they’ll meet rare-breed sheep, cattle, pigs and free-range chickens and learn why organic farming is better for those animals and wildlife too. At the small on-site butchery they’ll learn where the animals end up and get stuck in making burgers and sausages for a bbq lunch. They’ll make bread from local flour and prepare local vegetables and salad, too. Parents get to share the food-mile-friendly feast.
April 11, July 24, and October 3.
