Coniston water is the third largest lake in the lake district, at five miles long and half a mile wide. Made famous throughout the world in the 20th century by Sir Malcolm and his son Donald Campbells' water speed record attempts in the famous Bluebird boats. 

Enjoy a boat trip around the lake and visit the museum in Consiton which tells the story.
