Our llama trekking is terrific! Walk along one of two trails with these calm camelids and discover rural Creuse. The treks take place within the boundaries of our 75 acre estate so there are no concerns about safety. Do a fun quiz on the way round and learn all about llamas and alpacas as you go. Your companions are most likely to be Oscar and Bernard who are llamas, and Seamus and Brendan, the two cutest alpacas you can imagine.
The trek takes about an hour, slightly less for the Petit Cria trail, which is designed for younger or more elderly trekkers. It is about 1km long and is flat all the way round. The Grand Lama trail is about twice as long and includes sloping terrain. Both treks pass by lakes and go through woodland.
After the trek you can meet our other llamas and alpacas, as well as our rabbits, guinea-pigs, cats, chickens, ducks and turkeys. There's a craft for children to do before they go home, and adults can have a go at handspinning some wool.
You'll have a lovely visit!
And one last thing, it's true that llamas spit, but only at each other and not very often. They won't spit at you!
