Take the road to the Inversnaid Hotel. To get here you drive through Aberfoyle towards Loch Ard. There is a car park at the Inversnaid Hotel. From here you take a path that skirts along the banks of Loch Lomond with fine views of the Arrochar Alps. The path becomes quite rocky at times, so good walking shoes are necessary. Eventually you reach a sign that points left towards Rob Roys cave. This can be reached with a bit of scrambling and you will know when you reach it as the word "cave" is scrawled in large white painted letters above the entrance to the cave. An exciting walk especially for kids though take care on the trickier sections of path and take a camera for the great views.
