Stunning remains of a 12th century Augustinian monastery located near Hadrian's wall. Visitors can explore the well preserved chacel and transepts, still remaining at their full height. Discover the interesting history of the Priory, including how Edward I rested here duing his final campaign in 1306, and what happened when the priory was dissolved in 1538.
