Try your hand at rowing amidst the splendor of the Victorian gardens, or look out for the local wildlife as you cruise in an electric motor boat through the nature reserve. For the energetic, pedalos offer fantastic family fun for 2 to 5 people!
All our hire boats are very stable and user friendly. Lifejackets are provided free from baby to adult sizes, so the whole family can go out on a boat, with no age limit at all.
For the more adventurous, there is a large fleet of Canadian canoes and kayaks, for hourly, half day, full day and weekend hires. We have canoes for one, two or three people, and single or double kayaks. We use stable, confidence inspiring boats, so you can have fun on the river even if you are a complete novice.
For our younger boaters, there are the bumper boats which are in a shallow, supervised area so youngsters aged 3 and up can ride on their own, or with an adult. Ride the pirate ship, go for a spin in the disco boat, or have a blast on the jet ski!
Kids Activities on the Boating Lake
The boat house is located next to the children’s playground in MillGardens. The boating lake is only 2 ½ feet deep, so the kids can play on the boats while you grab a leisurely drink from our snack bar! Pedalos, canoes and kayaks are suitable for kids to use on their own from age 6 up, and for the younger ones, the Bumper Boats are perfect. From age 14 up, teenagers can take boats onto the river, as long as they are signed in by an adult.
Children’s Birthday Parties
Our children’s kayak and canoe parties have become a real hit - offering fun and games on the water while learning new skills. All our parties are suitable for complete beginners. After the party you can hire the party gazebo, tables and chairs to have a picnic and cut the birthday cake, or we are just a 5 minute walk from the restaurants and cafes of Leamington.
Canoe and Kayak Courses
Our knowledgeable and dedicated team of coaching staff can take you from your first experience in paddle sport, right through to becoming a coach yourself. We are a bcu approved centre, and are licensed by aala. We run courses for children and adults, at all levels of experience, as well as sessions for schools, youth groups, and indiviluals.
