It is also possible to book Starry Night dinners which include cable car, dinner and a view of the sunsetting over the Pyrenees with talks on the current night sky, (torches and binoculars provided). The Pic du Midi has been listed as
a natural national site since 2003 due to the splendour of its landscapes. It is also a working observatory which specialises in studies of the sun.

Remember to bring warm clothing, sunglasses and sun cream.
Due to the high altitude, the site is not recommended for anyone with a heart condition, pregnant women, or children under the age of 3.
