Minsmere offers families and keen birdwatchers a great day out. Nature trails take you through a variety of habitats to excellent birdwatching hides. There is a visitor centre where you can find out more about the wildlife, browse in the shop or enjoy a meal in the tearoom. In spring, you can watch avocets and marsh harriers, or hear booming bitterns. On the beach, a special area is cordoned off to protect nesting little terns.
