Welcome aboard Spindrift for a magical experience afloat. Why not take a trip to the remote Island of Rona or to the Isle of Raasay. Or perhaps one of our shorter options.
Would you like to walk and explore on the privately owned Island of Rona for a couple of hours with just over an hour aboard Spindrift on the outward and return journey? Or perhaps you would prefer the Isle of Raasay and lunch at the hotel before returning in the early afternoon.
Experience the majestic scenery of the Inner Hebrides from the vantage point of our viewing deck and make the most of the photographic opportunities available.
On the warm clear days of summer come aboard for an evening cruise a perfect way to finish the day. Spend an hour and a half relaxing and viewing the wildlife and seeing Portree from the water, while enjoying a glass of wine.
The wildlife of Skye and surrounding Islands is as diverse below the sea as it is above, and it is a rare trip indeed when nothing of interest is spotted. We regularly see whales and dolphin, porpoise and basking sharks. Seals and the occasional bold otter have also entertained our guests.
The wealth of bird life makes any trip a joy. In May, June and July the fabulous Puffin makes its annual appearance. The majestic Sea Eagle is a year round inhabitant of our wonderful cliffs. From fulmar and gannet to guillemot and eider, there are always birds to watch and enjoy.
We can take up to twelve passengers and can also offer daily, or hourly rates for a private charter inclusive of Skipper and Crew.
As we are heavily weather dependant on sailing times, please phone the day before to check availability and what is available on the day of your choice.
Our day trips start at £25 (Raasay) to £30 (Rona trip) and our evening cruises are £18 to £20 ( which is inclusive of wine and ‘nibbles’). Children are welcome aboard at a concessionary rate of 75% of the adult fare.
