Wanlockhead is the highest village in Scotland, in the Lowther Hills in Dumfries and Galloway. A popular tourist destination it is also home to the highest pub in Scotland and to Scotland's Museum of Lead mining. It is also the highest point on the famous Southern Upland Way walking route.
