Explore Sutherland

Sutherland is a county situated in the far northern Highlands of Scotland. A remote region with beautiful beaches, mountains and wildlife that are some of Scotland's finest. Along the Sutherland coastline there is fantastic coastal scenery with dramatic castles, great sandstone cliffs and walking routes. Walking is a great way to get out and explore its unique landscapes.

Although this is a remote part of Scotland, there is plenty of access to the area. The main A9 road connects Sutherland to Inverness and the south. There are also railways and airports within easy reach at Inverness and Wick.

There are plenty of activities in the region including water sports, hiking, fishing and golfing.  There are many golf courses in the region, ranging from 9 hole courses to the world-famous Royal Dornoch Golf Club, one of the top-ranked courses in the world
