The region of Asturias in Northern Spain is an autonomous community in the Kingdom of Spain, and was formerly known as the Kingdom of Asturias in the middle ages. Located on the coast of Spain, there are plenty of excellent beaches and cliffs, making it an excellent holday destination for those looking for a relaxed beach holiday and those looking for a climbing and outdoor activities holiday alike.

Asturias is bordered to the south by the Cantabrian mountains, and to the east by Picos de Europa, a National Park that contains arguably the most spectacular mountain range in Spain. This means that the scenery in this area is fantastic and you could spend days just walking around the mountains in awe.
