Aviemore (Scottish Gaelic: An Aghaidh Mhòr) in the Highlands of Scotland is located in the magnificent setting of the Cairngorms. It  has a wide range of shops, especially for the outdoor enthusiast as well as a range of local retailers offering locally made gifts. The town is popular for skiing and other winter sports, and for hill-walking in the Cairngorm Mountains. The town also offers a dry ski slope, swimming pool, cinema and go-karting.
