The Goriska Region is located in western Slovenia, along the border with Italy. This region includes the Western Julian Alps, the River Soca and the Vipava Valley. The region offers numerous water sports, from kayaking and canoeing to rafting and canyoning. Visitors can also experience the valley with by walking and mountain bikes. Slovenia’s highest ski center on Mount Kanin is accessible from the valley. This region is also home to excellent wine.
