Llety gwilym has been given a 4 Star grading with Visit Wales It is a modern Barn Conversion attached to Heol dwr in the Rural Village of Llangyndeyrn in Carmarthenshire West Wales. Active Farm life can be appreciated on Pant-teg Farm.

 In Llety gwilym ,Heol dwr ; a warm Welsh welcome will be guaranteed by Hugh and Carol ,in  our newly refurbished barn conversion, which is part of Pant-teg estate which is an active farm with 250 Holstein milking cows This is run jointly by Hugh and his son Alun and daughter in law Angharad . Angharad also breeds a number of dogs ,and their pups of variety of breeds are always beautiful. If you want to get away from it all, then a farm house holiday at Lletygwilym is just what you are looking for, nestling in the middle of the picturesque Gwendraeth Fach valley ,which was threatened by drowning 50 years ago.

 Accommodation at Lletygwilym Lletygwilym is situated in the village of Llangyndeyrn at the junction of the B4306 and the road that goes to Llanddarog. The B4306 comes from Carmarthen and goes on to Pontyberem which is 3 miles away and Llanelli 10 miles away where the Scarlets play Rugby. Parking is at the rear of the barn conversion and conservatory.

Entrance is through the conservatory which is suitable for wheel chair users. This is your private lounge where you can enjoy television ,Wi-Fi connection and where we serve breakfast and evening meal if necessary. There are 2 bedrooms available each with a double bed one with a shower hand basin and toilet the other with bath, shower toilet, wash-hand-basin , There is a lovely view of the Gwendraeth Fach Valley with its meandering river the Gwendraeth Fach which has been reported the cleanest in Britain –Fishing is available here . The Pant-teg Holstein herd (Deyrn herd )can be seen grazing peacefully in the surrounding fields The cows are milked twice a day ,and these can be observed in the milking parlour twice a day. The river Towy is within 1 mile with its excellent fishing Places of Interest:-

Llangyndeyrn is a small rural village with an ancient church where a church has been since the fifth century.established by Saint Kentigern/Mungo who is also patron Saint of Glasgow. There are 2 chapels .a Methodist Chapel Salem and Baptist Chapel ,Bethel–all 3 are active and have services every Sunday. There are 2 public house –The Farmers Arms (Tafarn y Ffermwyr) in the centre of the village and the Smiths (Tafarn y Gof} which can be recommended to give excellent meals;  which is only 2 doors up from Lletygwilym..

Llangyndeyrn is 5 miles away from the market town of Carmarthen with its large shopping centre –Debenhams, Marks and Spencer , Next, Topshop, Miss Selfridge for clothes , a Tesco, Morrisons ,Lidl, for food. It also has a cinema and theatre ,Lyric. The local District Hospital –West Wales General is at Glangwili, Carmarthen .

Come to Rural West Wales for freedom and choice to see :- · Beautiful Scenery. Bird watching,  Gardens-,National Botanic,and Aberglasni ·Beaches, on the Cardiganshire-e.g. New Quay ,Aberaeron, Llangrannog, Carmarthenshire, e.g. -Pendine,  Llanstephan, Burry Port ,Laugharan;  Pembrokshire-e.g. Tenby, Saundersfoot, Amroath Solva and Gower Coast. e.g. Mumbles, Langland, Caswell, Three Cliffs, Rhossilli  , and many others in all four counties. ,

Castles, Dinefwr both old and new, Carreg Cennen, Dryslwyn, Casrmarthen, Cydweli  Llanstephan and many pothers. Dolau Cothi Gold Mines ,see Llynbrianne Dam , Observing Farm life at Pant-teg..

There is a Museam in Abergwili ,Carmarthen ,near the Bishop of St Davids Residence

The Cathedral is in St. Davids, Pembrokshire  -some 50 miles away,  where there are services every Sunday and in the week

To do :-  Fishing,on the Gwendraeth fach The Towy river is 4 miles away famous for its salmon fishing.

There are many local walks on the small roads around Llangyndeyrn and you can walk along the Carmarthenshire, Cardiganshire and Pembrokshire Coastal Path. ·

Singing Festival and Eisteddfodau, including the National, and Urdd as they move through different parts of Wales and the International; at Llangollen every July

There is a horse racing Course at Ffos Las ,Carway Cyweli ; which is only 4 miles away.

Car races are taking place in Pembrey as well where there is a small airport

Various Agricultural Shows can be seen in the summer and especially the Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells at the end of July and the Winter fair in November. .
