Dacre Garth is a well equipped, recently redecorated, Barn Conversion in the heart of Cumbria. The Barn, recently awarded a 4-star rating comfortably sleeps 8 and is particularly suited for family use. We are delighted to have been awarded an English Tourist Board 'Gold Award' and also a 'Families Welcome' rating in 2009 / 2010 / 2011.
Accommodation:
Consists of a large family kitchen with a flagstone floor and sofa, a small study, a lounge with leather sofas and a log burner opens full height to the beams and a galleried landing which contains the dining area. The master bedroom is large with exposed beams and an en-suite. The second bedroom is also spacious with a double bed and sink. The third bedroom is a further double room and finally there is a twin bedroom. The main bathroom has a roll top bath, toilet, sink and bidet. Finally, a 'secret' children's playloft is available via the 'mousehole' for the more adventurous children. The Barn has an enclosed garden with BBQ and patio with picnic bench. Sorry we do not accept pets.
Location:
The Barn is set in the centre of the village of Stainton on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Its location, 5 minutes from the M6 and A66, makes traveling to all parts of Cumbria and the Pennines easy without the delays of central Lake District traffic in the peak holiday period.
Attractions:
Dacre Garth lies in the heart of Cumbria within the small friendly village of Stainton. The Village boasts excellent food at the King’s Arms Public house and the Brantwood Hotel. Within a short walk is the renowned Greystone House Farm, stocking local and organic produce ranging from pasta and preserves, to fresh bread, milk, vegetables and its own butchery.
The tea-rooms above the farm-shop are also highly recommended for lunch or an afternoon snack. The village also has a children’s play park and recreation area just 5 minutes stroll from the Barn.
