The property has incredible views down the River Esk. ...more Turnerdale Hall is a stunning country manor property that has been lavishly refurbished maintaining many of its period features. Originally built in 1810 the property was purchased in 1850 by an industrialist who added a large gothic extension.
The property has since been divided in half with the gothic extension now being available to let. This luxury self catering accommodation sleeps upto 9 people. Access to the property is up a long sweeping drive to a parking area for upto 3 cars. The well maintained gardens have a secluded patio area that has fantastic views over the River Esk and the weir.
Near the patio is a greenhouse where guests can enjoy seasonal salads and vegetables. Close by there is a general store, an award winning butchers, a pub with a beer garden on the river bank, train and bus stop, rowing boats and canoes for hire, fishing, cafe, indoor childrens play area and pitch and putt golf course. Turnerdale Hall is let Friday to Friday. A welcome pack containing tea, coffee, wine etc is provided.

Our cottages are located in the seaside town of Whitby and just outside Whitby in the tranquil villages of Ruswarp,Ellerby/Runswick Bay and Egton Bridge , North Yorkshire with a large choice of activities on the doorstep, award winning sandy beaches on one side and the North Yorks Moors on the other.
Whitby is located on the East coast of England close to Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey to the South and Newcastle, Middlesborough and Durham to the North with many beautiful and interesting villages surrounding it.
Our Things To Do near North Yorkshire
Once a famous whaling port Whitby continues to be a popular fishing port with many large trawlers still built there and lots of options for the keen fisherman with daytrips to sea or fishing from the piers.
You can follow the famous story of Dracula in the Dracula museum or on one of the daily/nightly ghost walks through the town. Whitby is also famous for its tall ships, the "Grand Turk"and Captains Cooks "Endeavour" can often be seen moored in the harbour. Whitby attracts many people from all age groups. In late March and late October the Goths visit Whitby with their spectacular outfits and interesting vehicles it is a sight not to be missed.
Whitby Abbey dominates the headland and can be reached by car or walking up the famous 199steps.
Also famous for Whitby Jet, there are shops on the old cobbled Church Street still making local jet jewellery and if you look hard enough you may find a piece of jet on the beach.
Whitby now boasts many award winning beaches, pubs and restaurants with menus to suit all budgets.
