Our holiday cottage location in Flookburgh, in the Lake District
Flookburgh is a small coastal village a short distance away from Grange-over-Sands which has a number of tea shops and a lovely new swimming pool. Cartmel home to the racecourse, the beautiful Priory, a number of pubs and restaurants and of course the Village Shop famous for its Sticky Toffee Pudding is also a short distance away.
Our holiday cottage is in an ideal location for exploring The Lakes, and with the Cumbria Coastal Path right on your doorstep, walking, riding, bird watching, skydiving etc. are all readily available. Lake Windermere and Coniston Water are only 30 minutes away by car. Coniston is quieter but with all the facilities for boat hire, steam boat trips and tea shops. Bowness-on-Windermere is much larger and livelier and has the larger cruise boats and a greater number of restaurants and shops.
