Located near Snowdonia national park, an ideal location from which to explore North Wales. Well-behaved dogs most welcome. ...more The Chelsea is a detached B&B/Guest House located on Church Walks in the heart of Llandudno. The building was built as a gentleman's residence in the mid 1800's and retains many original features. The Masonic dining room attached to the side was originally built as a chapel, before being used for the local branch of the Masons to meet in, a real treat for new visitors to admire! We are a family run business, and offer comfortable, peaceful and relaxed accommodation. As such we have decided not to accept small children (over 14's allowed) to maintain a tranquil air for those wishing a relaxing break.
All rooms are en-suite with showers. Each room has central heating, freeview lcd tv (some with built-in DVD), clock radio, toiletries, and beverage tray (some with bottled water). The rooms vary in size but all are airy and light, with windows that open, and none are tiny! There are standard double rooms available from £65 based on two adults sharing; and superior doubles, four-posters, and rooms available as twin occupancy from £70 based on two adults sharing. All prices include a full cooked breakfast.
Breakfast is served 9-9.30 am ( although we will try to accommodate those who require a slightly earlier breakfast) at individual room tables. The Masonic dining room is a spectacular setting to eat in, with high vaulted ceiling and original murals dating back to the 19th Century to admire. There are many alternatives available for breakfast, and we cater well for vegetarians or those with dietary needs (with advance notice). If you prefer, light breakfasts or continental breakfasts are also available. We do not offer evening meals as we are so close to all the restaurants in town, ranging from Italian, Indian, Chinese, English, fine dining, fish and chips, bar meals, fast-food outlets. We can offer a table booking service if you have a particular restaurant in mind for a special occasion. Flower, chocolate and wine packages available for £25 (at least 48 hours notice required for this).
We do not have a bar but guests are most welcome to bring their own drinks. During warm summer months the sun-terrace is a lovely place to enjoy a drink or two.
There is no private parking at The Chelsea, but on-street parking is free in the street and surrounding streets. There are also several pay car parks within 10 minutes of the house.
Well-behaved dogs are most welcome here, although we do have a couple of guidelines: please do not bring dogs under 6 months of age (i.e. they must be house-trained); and we respectfully request that you do not leave your pet unattended in the rooms (other than whilst eating breakfast) as this can be very distressing for your pet and lead to nuisance noise and damage. We charge a small fee of £5 for first night, and £3 for each subsequent night per dog. Maximum of two dogs per room.
Polite notice: Please be aware that we are completely NON-SMOKING within the building and ask all guests to abide by this Welsh Assembly Law. Anyone failing to comply with this will be asked to leave with no refund, as we are unable to re-let rooms that smell of smoke, and are entitled to charge a fine of £50 for failure to comply.
