Pricing

  • Once a guest has selected when to book your accommodation after looking at availability and pricing, they go through a simple 4 step booking process. This includes:
    • A standard booking fee to cover administration and processing. ( £2.50+VAT on bookings*)
    • A default option to benefit from Cancellation Insurance - this protects your income and their expenditure very comprehensively.
    • A clear breakdown of the pricing for the customer, and a secure online card payment facility to secure the booking (deposit payment).
  • Only 7.5%+VAT commission* on your published Booking Charge.
  • After 7-11 working days from when the booking and payment was made online the payment minus commission will be transferred to your account.

What do you need to set up Online Payments for your accommodation:

  1. Premium Listing
  2. Fully updated Booking Calendar on LovetoEscape
  3. In order for Lovetoescape to be able to pay you (the Accommodation Provider) we will need your
    UK bank details:
    • Account Name
    • Account Number
    • Sort Code
  4. Complete online payment checklist
  5. Activate Online Payments
    Once we have verified your listing and calendar, we will send you out a PIN to your payment card billing address via royal mail, first class post. Once received please Log in and enter your code to activate your online payments. This is a consumer protection process to ensure that bona fide accommodation providers are taking part in our online booking and payment system.

    The new Online Booking & Payment System is a standard feature within our current Premium Listing. There is no set up cost or additional subscription cost to the current Premium level advertising. For only 7.5%+VAT commission* on your advertised rental price you have the facility to accept online payments. What's more there is no obligation and no minimum term contract.
     
  2. Receive your payment quickly
    You will receive your owed booking payment in to your bank account after 7-11 working days from when the booking and payment was made. Furthermore, Comprehensive Cancellation Insurance cover is provided by default on all booking from UK Residents staying in UK accommodation.

    We do not limit your booking potential!
    • You can still accept unlimited bookings (via external sources) and by email, phone and web referral as well as collect payments via other methods at 0% commission, as you have always done with your Premium Listing.
    • Set your own accurate pricing for your potential guests. We only add a standard £2.50+VAT booking fee* per booking, payable by the holiday maker. There are no hidden costs on top of your advertised rental price, in keeping with your actual booking price.

Once you have completed our online payments checklist, the LovetoEscape Support Team will verify your listing. Your online payments calendar will be live within two working days depending on the return of your activation pin. The activation pin is sent by first class post on the first working day.

A ‘Book and Pay Online’ notification appears on your listing together with credit/debit card image. Your accommodation listing will appear at the top of the search results.

Yes, instead of automatically approve online bookings, you may also choose to approve your online bookings manually before accepting payment. After your approval an email response goes to the holidaymaker with a built-in payment button for online payment.

Yes, you can accept cheques and bank transfer payments. You need to process the payment in your Log in area.

To add a booking: Log in, Click on ‘Enquiries & Bookings’, Click on ‘Booking Calendars’ on the left hand side , Hover over the start date of the booking then click on ‘Add a Booking’ and follow the steps to create the new booking.

To record a cheque or bank transfer payment: go to ‘Bookings’, click on the holiday makers name, click ‘Record Payment’ at the bottom and ‘Add a Payment’. You will be able to select cheque or transfer. Make sure to click on ‘Save payment’ to save.

Yes, as long as you have set up your short break availability in your calendar.

To block off dates/make unavailable (please note they will appear as booked on the live site)

  • Click on ‘Enquiries & Bookings’
  • Click on ‘Booking Calendars’ on the left hand side
  • Hover over the start date of the booking then click on 'Edit Availability/Price' on the right hand side.
  • Then fill in the ‘Set Availability/Price’ form and click ‘Save Availability’.

As stated in Terms and Conditions ‘The Holidaymaker should notify LovetoEscape.com immediately in writing if the Holidaymaker wishes to cancel the Booking and in any event within 7 working days of the date the Booking was made. The cancellation only takes effect when LovetoEscape.com has received written confirmation from the Holidaymaker of the cancellation.

If the Booking is cancelled more than 7 working days after the date the Booking was made, the Holidaymaker acknowledges that the Holidaymaker shall not be entitled to reimbursement of the Accommodation Fee (including but not limited to the Initial Payment). In such instances where the Holidaymaker is not entitled to a refund of the Accommodation Fee, the Holidaymaker should consult their insurance provider to establish whether Insurance Cover is provided.’

Where the holiday maker has not paid the balance, despite final reminders and after a period of more than 1 week past the balance due date, LovetoEscape reserves the right to cancel the holiday. More likely that will be managed by the Accommodation owner at their discretion.

If LovetoEscape send out reminders PAST the due date, LovetoEscape are also entitled to seek ADDITIONAL £10+VAT late payment penalty from the Holidaymaker.

If the Holiday Maker cancels the booking (after the first 7 days), they are not entitled to a refund as per Agreement. If there is an issue, they have to take that up with the Accommodation provider.

If the Accommodation Provider cancels the booking, they may have to make a FULL refund to the holiday maker of the Accommodation element (insurance dependent). However LovetoEscape will retain their Service Fees, and levy a £25+VAT invoice (Cancellation Charge) on Accommodation Provider.

As of June 2013 VisitScotland has chosen to integrate with LovetoEscape's market leading online booking and payment system.

VisitScotlandVisitScotland: 'From the end of June 2013, our national tourism website, www.visitscotland.com will integrate with a number of web booking engines. If you use one of the supported systems, then your own pricing and availability will display on your visitscotland.com web listing directly from the third party booking website, and the visitor will be able to book your room online instantly'.

Yes, you can easily show the availability calendar you've set up with LovetoEscape on your own website by implementing the booking calendar widget code.

To add the LovetoEscape booking calendar to your website: Simply Log in, click on ‘Enquiries & Bookings’, click on ‘Booking Calendars’ on the left hand side, click 'Edit Setup', go to the 'Widget' tab and follow the instructions.

Availability Calendar

To block off dates/make unavailable (please note they will appear as in red as 'booked' on the live site)

  • Click on ‘Enquiries & Bookings’
  • Click on ‘Booking Calendars’ on the left hand side
  • Hover over the start date of the booking then click on 'Edit Availability/Price' on the right hand side
  • Then fill in the ‘Set Availability/Price’ form and click ‘Save Availability’.
  • Log in, Click on ‘Enquiries & Bookings’
  • Click on ‘Booking Calendars’ on the left hand side
  • Go to ‘Price List’
  • To edit individual weeks select ‘Edit Availability/Price’ next to the week
  • Click on ‘Yes’ and enter min stay and daily price.

Please Note: Short breaks will work in parallel with your weekly price. Both short break (daily) price and weekly price will be displayed.

To change your Booking Start Day e.g. from Friday to Friday weekly bookings to Saturday to Saturday, you will have to create a new calendar and select your new preferred default Booking Start Day.

TIP: We recommend introducing such changes before a new season so if you are thinking of changing your booking start day for 2014 bookings, we recommend you create a new 2014 booking calendar rather than extend your current calendar.

If, for example, you offer Saturday to Saturday weekly bookings but are flexible on the booking start day, for a given period, you can show this on your availability calendar by allowing Short Stays of a minimum of 7 nights (to be in keeping with weekly bookings) for that period.

  • Log in, Click on ‘Enquiries & Bookings’
  • Click on ‘Booking Calendars’ on the left hand side
  • Go to 'Price List' of your chosen calendar
  • Click 'Edit Availability/Price' of your chosen period and select Do you allow visitors to book short stay holidays during this period? 'Yes'
  • Enter Minimum Short Stay Length '7' and for the Short Stay Price, please enter your per night rate (i.e. your weekly booking price divided by 7)
  • Click 'Save Availability'.

 

Advertising

All the directors of love to escape are holiday accommodation owners themselves and set up the site in order to deliver a true value for money accommodation website that delivers real enquiries and bookings.
With Premium Plus, you will benefit from all the features available with a Premium listing but have full use of our online booking system. Our system will make things hassle-free by allowing holiday makers to book and pay online. Additionally, the system can chase payments for you.
Our standard price for an annual Premium listing is £180+VAT. Owners of multiple properties are eligible for further reductions.
For this there is no additional cost on top of the Premium Listing. You will pay 7.5%+VAT commission on bookings and holidaymakers will be charged a standard £2.50+VAT booking fee.
You can update your advert as often as you like. (To update, Log in, go to Listings, Click on Edit Listing.) There are no extra charges for updating your text or photos. You can also add special offers at no additional cost.
Holiday makers can contact you by clicking on ‘contact owner by email or ‘contact owner by phone, if selected to display your number. All email enquiries go directly to your chosen email account.

What does this mean for you?

It means your own pricing and availability will display on your VisitScotland.com web listing directly from your LovetoEscape Booking calendar, and the visitor will be able to book your cottage online instantly. If you don't have a VisitScotland.com web listing, see below.

Your availability will be searchable and bookable on VisitScotland.com, via VisitScotland contact centre and Information centres and via your LovetoEscape listing.

Your accommodation will benefit from exposure to the 20 million annual visitors who use VisitScotland.com and 2-3 million annual visitors who use LovetoEscape.com

Get a Free Listing on VisitScotland with a Premium Membership on LovetoEscape. Premium Members who have set up a Booking Calendar can now simply publish their LovetoEscape Listing on VisitScotland directly. There is NO set-up fee, and the use of the booking engine comes as a FREE add-on to our Premium Listing package. Yes, the Premium Listing Package is an annual payment subscription, however we are offering to those listing with Visit Scotland a 50% discount (£90+VAT rather than the list price of £180+VAT). As a Scottish Company integrating with Visit Scotland we will keep the annual renewal subscription for Visit Scotland listings at the discounted rate. We have one comprehensive and powerful package, the Premium Listing package.

Bookings can be processed FREE, however we charge an extremely competitive 7.5%+VAT for credit \ debit card based bookings.

No, however as we also provide a marketing platform (in the form of the Premium Listing package), you will have self publishing content management, including photo gallery, map location, special offer functionality, and a myriad of other features that will help you to be found by our internal search engines, and the major external search engines such as Google. Please note your Premium listing will also feature on our mobile version of the site together with our iPhone and Android apps, (which we have built in to this package).

Yes, you can easily insert a few lines of code that we supply for your website. This allows holiday makers to view availability and book and pay online from your website, VisitScotland and LovetoEscape. It can be done in minutes! The code is available whether or not you wish to participate in the online payment system, it is designed to help you maximise your bookings as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

Is there a charge for this?

No, we do not make any charge for the supply of this code.

Yes, we accept all major debit and credit cards, which we do securely through Worldpay. Uniquely you do not need to set up Paypal accounts or a merchant services account, we do all the payment transaction services for you, and transfer the booking payments directly to you. What is important about the LovetoEscape booking and payment system is that it is fully integrated with your calendar (automatic updates on bookings), and your reporting systems (keeping track of payments made, payments due, automated overdue reminders to holiday makers, and much much more).

Step 1: Find your unique Accommodation ID on LovetoEscape:

  • Log in to your LovetoEscape.com account
  • Go to ‘Listings’
  • Then click on ‘Edit Listing’
  • In the Overview tab you will find your accommodation ID.
    (Each listing has their own accommodation ID)

Step 2: Add your LovetoEscape Booking Engine to your VisitScotland web listing

  • Log in to your VisitScotland.com account (click on 'Extranet' at bottom of VisitScotland.com)
  • Choose ‘Edit details’ from the left hand menu
  • Select 'Links' then 'External IDs'
  • Select Lovetoescape from the ‘Type’ Menu
  • Enter your LovetoEscape accommodation ID.
  • Click Save
