Our holiday lodge is located on a farm, just over the hill from the sea. It is quite small, but has 3 bedrooms to sleep 6 people, a kitchen, bathroom and living room, with a balcony outside. Its sensibly furnished to cater for families with children.
The lodge has a bath and shower, blankets and duvets, pillows, a microwave, cutlery and crockery. There is an iron, an ironing board, a tv, dvd player and a radio. Only sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, towels and tea towels need be brought.
Pets are welcome provided you keep the lodge and the surrounds clean. And please remember that this is a farming area, and dogs may need to be kept on the lead in some places. There are no restrictions for dogs on most of the Coastal Footpath.
Timber Hill is three-quarters of a mile walking distance (a mile and a quarter by road) from Broad Haven, and six miles from Haverfordwest. The nearest beaches are at Druidstone, a mile away by road, at Broad Haven and at Little Haven.
It is one of the few groups of leisure homes allowed by the County Council in this part of the Pembrokeshire National Park. Timber Hill farm is around 90 acres in size, and the 38 cedarwood lodges are on a southward facing slope, overlooking a valley. The area is landscaped, with grass, flowers and shrubs. Cars may be parked within a few yards of each lodge.
The lodges are well spaced, and there is a good amount of room for children to play, away from the road or down by the stream. There is a small 'help-yourself' shop selling milk and eggs, and a coin-operated washing machine and drier at the farm, but no other communal facilities.
Rates : From £220 to £400 per week depending on season.
