Welcome to our Self catering Cottage in Eskdale, Lake District
Our self catering cottage is located in the Esk Valley in the west of the Lake District. 3 Randle How is an 18th century cottage located in Eskdale Green, Cumbria.
The cottage is in a quiet part of the village and is an excellent base for walking, touring or a quiet relaxing rest, throughout the year. It has modern facilities while maintaining its traditional style and comfortably accommodates four people.
The River Esk runs down the valley, starting among the highest mountains in England and ending at Ravenglass on the coast. At the top of the valley are Hard Knot Roman Fort and the road over to Ambleside. Lower down is the hamlet of Boot with the terminus of the miniature steam Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, known as La'al Ratty. The train and river run down to the small village of Eskdale Green and on to Ravenglass on the coast. Near to Ravenglass is Muncaster Castle with its famous gardens and Owl Centre. The valley also has five pubs with Real Ale and good food.
