Hawthorn Cottage is situated at West Drip Farm, a family run arable farm on the Carse of Stirling. It is ideally located for a quiet and relaxing holiday or as the perfect base for touring the local area and beyond. It enjoys a quiet and peaceful location with panoramic views over farmland towards the National Wallace Monument, Ochil and Gargunnock Hills and has excellant road links in all directions.
The cottage can sleep up to six people comfortably. A cot and campbed can be provide on request. The main living, kitchen and dining area is open plan with the French doors opening onto the patio and garden. It has 3 bedrooms, a double ensuite and 2 twin rooms. The main bathroom is suitable for disabled guests. The cottage has a private garden with childrens swing, plenty of parking and farm walks to enjoy. There is oil central heating throughout with instant hot water at all times, all bed linen and towels are provided.
Hawthorn Cottage is situated 3 miles north of the historic City of Stirling and one mile from the M9 motorway so allowing you to benefit from a stunning rural setting but with excellant transport links. Blairdrummond Safari Park is just a short run along the A84 as is the road to the Loch Lomond and Trossach's National Park. We are under an hours drive from Scotland's capital city Edinburgh and its largest city Glasgow.
Rossburnlane Farmhouse is situated next to a quiet country lane in the farming district of Blairdrummond, 5 miles north of Stirling. This country setting allows you to enjoy beautiful views over the surrounding farmland towards the hills and mountains all around. Blairdrummond Safari Park is just a short walk or drive along the road as is the main A84 road which leads to Callander and the Trossachs where you will find some of the finest scenery Scotland has to offer.
Rossburn sleeps up to 6 people plus baby, although there is plenty of space for an extra guest. It has ample parking space, a private garden and courtyard, ideal for summer barbeques.
Rossburn has been recently refurbished to a very high standard with quality furnishings and fittings throughout. Downstairs there is a large open plan kitchen, dining and living area with a wood burning stove, the main bathroom and a large twin bedroom. Upstairs is the master bedroom with kingsized bed, another twin room and a shower room. All beds are made up for your arrival with fresh cotton bedding.
You will find fresh flowers on your arrival along with a complimentary tray set with tea, coffee, milk, sugar and shortbread. For you convenience a small supply of domestic goods (toilet rolls, dishwasher powder, washing up liquid etc) is also provided. There is a good selection of games, books, CD's, dvd’s, local maps and plenty of tourist information.
Electrical goods include a colour digital TV and dvd player, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. The house has oil central heating with radiators in all rooms. Logs for the fire are provided at no extra charge.
High chair, cot (cot linen not included) and fold down bed for an extra guest are available on request (£10 charge for an extra guest). There is also a bbq and garden furniture for you to enjoy.
