52 Rue du Temple is a beautifully restored large stone town house, situated in the heart of the Bastide market town of Eymet in the picturesque Dordogne. This property dates back to the 18th century and the house has been discreetly modernised, but still retains many of its original features, which adds atmosphere, luxury and charm. John & Helen would like to welcome you into our home; we hope you will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and ambience we have created for you. Your time with us will be memorable. The house is situated 2 minutes walk from the town square where you will find café's, restaurants and shops. During late Spring and Summer various entertainment events also take place in Eymet and surrounding villages. Details can be found in the Eymet Guide website ….. Car parking is available outside and also near the house. If you wish to leave your car in England we can arrange collection and return from our local airport (Bergerac) at no additional cost. Day excursions can also be organized for anywhere you wish to visit - we can arrange this service at a reasonable charge.
The house has a non smoking policy. (Smoking in the court yard is permitted). Internet access is available. Lounge The comfortable Guest Lounge is the ideal place to relax and plan your day's exploration of the beautiful Dordogne countryside, a perfect time to write those postcards or chill out reading. The lounge has a log fire for those chilly winter stays. Kitchen As with old French houses the kitchen is the heart of the house where your traditional French breakfast awaits you, with all the aroma of French bread, croissants and coffee. In the cooler months you can have breakfast by the log fire. All the bedrooms have their own en-suite (shower rooms). The rooms are centrally heated for winter stays and for those hot summer days and nights ceiling fans will keep you cool. Coffee and tea making facilities are provided in all the bedrooms. Bedroom 1. Relax in this spacious light airy bedroom on a sumptuous 6 ft square very comfortable iron/brass bed. French doors take you onto the balcony where you can enjoy the pretty courtyard and the rooftop views of Eymet. This bedroom can be adapted into a family room, a cot is also available on request. Bedroom 2. This large bedroom also has a very comfortable 5 ft traditional wooden bed. It too has a balcony for you to enjoy the pretty courtyard and rooftop views of Eymet. Bedroom 3. A sunny large bedroom, with two traditional French wrought-iron beds. (Each 4 ft) A balcony with rooftop views of Eymet, the courtyard and Helen's roses.
