Anchorage House, built in 1890, is a large Victorian house centrally located in the picturesque West Coast Highland village of Tighnabruaich providing stunning views over the waters of the Kyles of Bute and the islands of Bute, Inchmarnock, Holy Isle and Arran; a truly memorable location.
This is an ideal place to relax and unwind, whilst enjoying the many outdoor activities and diverse wildlife the area has to offer. Including many species of wild birds, birds of prey, red squirrels, deer, seals, porpoise, dolphins, basking sharks and the occasional whale.

The large upper flat of Anchorage House has been meticulously prepared to ensure that you experience exceptionally high quality accommodation to match the stunning surroundings.
The original Victorian features of Anchorage House have been retained and it has been fitted out using many period items of high quality antique furniture to obtain a delightful feel. This is complimented by the fitting of all the usual modern appliances that one would expect from this standard of holiday accommodation.
Anchorage House has a total of five bedrooms set out as follows:
Master Bedroom
One of the three large sized double rooms; it has a king-size bed and en-suite facilities that include toilet, sink and shower.
Bedroom Two
The second large double room, fitted with wardrobe and dresser it also still has its original fire place as a feature.
Bedroom Three
The third large double room; it has a king-size four poster bed, is fitted with its own wash hand basin and still has its original fire place.
Bedroom Four
This is a single room with a fine view over the village and sea beyond
Bedroom Five
This a stunning single room with outstanding views of the beach, sea and islands beyond .
We also have a cot available (this should be requested in advance of your arrival).
Bathroom
This is spacious and equipped with all usual facilities including a bath and shower.
Kitchen
The large, fully fitted kitchen and dining room is well equipped with all the usual facilities including microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer etc. It has a large dining table, comfortably seating eight, which allows you to enjoy the stunning views and wild life as you eat.
Lounge
The large lounge is similarly well fitted including fire place, wide screen TV, Satalite freeview, DVD player and PS2 games console with a selection of games. It has a large bay window is an ideal place to sit and just watch the world go slowly by.
Guests have the use of a beautiful, mature, large garden with outdoor seating and barbeque facilities.The garden area is ideal for children to run about, play football and other games.
Free Wi-Fi internet access is provided throughout the property.
We are child and pet friendly.
Ample car parking is provided for up to three cars and there is plenty room if you wish to bring a trailer with a sailing dinghy.
The beach is directly in front of Anchorage House and access to the slip way for launching boats, sailing dingies or canoes is only 100m from Anchorage house.
