Appin House provides homely self catering lodges (or log cabins) and apartments near Oban and Fort William, in Argyll & Bute, Scotland. Appin House is set amongst some of the most breath-taking scenery in the Scottish West Highlands. From its elevated position overlooking Loch Linnhe, to the South West can be seen Castle Stalker with the hills of Mull in the background, and to the West, the mountains of Morvern rise majestically from the loch.

The self catering holiday accommodation is in beautifully landscaped gardens of 3 acres, with many specimen trees, surround the house, and pathways through the lawn and shrubs lead the visitor to secluded resting places. In Springtime the scents and colours of the azaleas and rhododendrons are almost unbelievable. The Autumn colours provide a blaze which is equally magnificent.

Tigh an Lios – fantastic self catering cottage for 6 people

·         Large architect designed house has 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6, but a further 2 can easily be accommodated (with extra charge).

·         Large open plan living/dining room downstairs, featuring Travertine flooring, Digital Freeview TV, DVD player, payphone, and multifuel stove in fireplace.

·         2 bathrooms (including downstairs wetroom suitable for wheelchair users, with grab rails etc). As this room has 2 doors it is also generally accessible.

·         Well fitted kitchen and utility room, providing gas hob, double electric oven, dishwasher, fridges, freezer, microwave oven, washing machine and tumble dryer.

·         Whole house very well insulated with fresh air ventilation/heat recovery system, and underfloor heating downstairs.

·         Parking alongside for several cars.

Gate Lodge – 4 star self catering holiday accommodation

Completed in 2004, this Lodge must be seen to be believed. From a majestic and commanding south-facing position above Loch Linnhe it is perfectly sited to enjoy exceptional views. The spacious architect designed wood-clad Lodge is open plan on various levels. There are 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6 - but 2 more, with extra charge, may sleep in the sunroom.

·         2 double bedrooms (1 en-suite) , and  1 twin bedroom, with additional shower room and toilet.

·         Large open plan living area and separate sunroom - both with vaulted ceiling and slate floor.

·         Lounge has multifuel stove, piano, stereo, Digital Freeview TV and video player

·         Well fitted kitchen and utility room - providing gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, washer/drier, freezer and good drying facilities. .

·         Extensive deck and gas barbecue.

·         Parking alongside for several cars.

·         Dogs are welcome (by arrangement).

Birch and Pine Lodge

These lochside self catering lodges are our 2 original Lodges, and have been graded as 4 Star with the Scottish Tourist Board. These high quality wood-clad Lodges sleep up to 4 people and stand just outside our main gates. They have proved to be extremely popular with our guests - some of whom return year after year.  Dogs are welcome in Pine Lodge (by arrangement).

Each of these Lodges consists of:

·         A large wood-panelled lounge/ dining/ kitchen area, with tasteful furniture including a colour TV and DVD player.

·         2 bedrooms (one double, one twin),  Bathroom with bath and overbath electric shower.

·         The kitchen is well equipped, with electric cooker, fridge / freezer, microwave and dishwasher.

·         Heating - Wall hung programmable electric convector radiators plus feature electric optiflame heater.

·         Electricity is metered, being payable at the end of each let, and  parking is right beside each Lodge.
