Ballaminers House Pet Friendly Accommodation Nr Padstow Cornwall

Ballaminers House is believed to have been built around 1770 and in it's heyday was a one hundred acre working cattle farm which raised beef and probably supplied milk to Padstow and the village of Little Petherick..The village well and pump which belongs to the house still remains and can be seen in the lane approaching the farmhouse. Ballaminers House has been featured in both Period House February 2008 and Period Ideas January 2009. The house is welcoming and offers four bedrooms upstairs all with the original wooden floors, one small double with washbasin and freesat television has lovely views of St Petrocs Church and the surrounding countryside. Two furthur double bedrooms one with zip and link beds which can be made up into a large six foot double or a twin . The third double bedroom offers a King size bed and has a bathroom directly next door with bath and power shower one end . There is a cosy twin bedroom between the two larger double rooms ideal for children or teenagers with comfortable single beds and built in wardrobe etc . All blinds and curtains have been professionally made and have blackout lining. There is a family size second bathroom complete with roll top bath. Downstairs are window seats and shutters in the main rooms and slate floors in the hall , breakfast room and kitchen. The separate dining room has original wooden floors. Fireplace ( not in use). The sitting room has an open log burning fireplace, antique prints and painitings and some pictures by the owner Amanda too! Samsung flatscreen tv , dvd player and selection of dvds and i Pod dock. The breakfast room has an Aga and flatscreen freesat Samsung tv and an old dresser and farmhouse table and chairs for six people. The shaker style kitchen is equiped with a Hotpoint washer dryer, dishwasher, fridge/ freezer, and electric hob and microwave. There is a large well stocked private garden with a secluded patio area with barbecue and teak table and chairs . At the front of the house is another teak table and chairs under the old chestnut tree. There are also old fashioned roses, a variety of apple trees aswell as blackcurrants, rhubarb, and in April a hedge of lilac trees can be enjoyed in full bloom.
The house is only two miles from Padstow and it's' yummy mummy 'shops and of course Rick Steins Seafood restaurant. Number Six restaurant is also in Padstow and Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall at Watergate Bay is within twenty five minutes drive. Golf at Trevose only fifteen minutes away . St Enodoc Golf course within easy reach. Eden Project only forty minutes away.Camel Trail and Saints Way on the door step.Maritime Museum ,Lost Gardens of Heligan near Falmouth easily accessible. Llanhydrock and Trereice National Trust properties within easy reach. Dairyland for the children nr Newquay within half an hour as is Newquay Zoo.Crealys Adventure Park with animals very close by indeed. Padstow sailing club only a few minutes drive . It's also very well positioned for exploring other parts of Cornwall . Newquay airport is only twenty minutes drive and offers direct daily flights to London Gatwick and regular flights to the Isles of Scilly. For those who need some pampering why not book some treatments at the Cowshed Spa . for art lovers head for the Tate St Ives or take in an exhibition at Penlee House in Penzance. If you are celebrating a special occasion we can provide fresh hand tied bunches of seasonal flowers , Cornish handmade chocolates , champagne, Cream Teas for your arrival or an exotic fruit basket. Well behaved dogs accepted. All linen and large bath sheets from the White Company and hand towels are supplied ( not beach towels).WiFi throughout the house.
