Barn Cottage Bed & Breakfast offers comfortable, spacious accommodation with wonderful far reaching rural views, peace and quiet and warm personal attention.
We offer the choice of two charming and luxurious en suite bedrooms, The King Room with a king size bed and The Twin Room with twin beds. We also offer both these rooms for single occupancy. The King Room can also be offered as a Family room for three.
Both centrally heated rooms have sunny south facing aspects with panoramic views over the Dorset, Devon and Somerset hills.
Both rooms are very comfortably equipped with a lovely hospitality tray including chilled filtered water and fresh milk, colour TV, radio alarm, hairdryer, loads of books, magazines and DVD’s and binoculars. The luxurious en-suite bathrooms have a large quadrant shower, soft fluffy towels and lots of nice little pots and potions. On the landing is a small guest’s fridge. There is free WiFi access in all rooms.
A hearty Barn Cottage breakfast is cooked to order, served as you like it, at a time of your choosing. We use fresh, delicious locally sourced good quality food. Most is organic. We are delighted to have been among the 7% of inspected Bed & Breakfast’s to have received the new “VisitEngland” “Best Breakfast” award.
We can easily cater for almost any special diet including Vegan with prior notice.
We now offer PACKED LUNCHES and a LIGHT PLATED SUPPER (menu’s available and served in your room).
Barn Cottage Bed and Breakfast is in the hamlet of Woolminstone, centrally situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to the Monarch and Liberty Walks. We are happy to collect and drop off along these “Walks”. More dogs, escaped cows, walkers, horses and tractors pass the end of our drive than cars!
Woolminstone is about 2 miles south of CREWKERNE along the B3165, off the A30 at Crewkerne.
We are about ½ hour along the B3165 (The “Old Lymn Regis Road”) to the World Heritage Coastline “The Jurassic Coastline” at Lyme Bay, West Bay, Burton Bradstock, Beer, and the beautiful South West Coastal Pathway.
We are also about ½ hour from Yeovil, Westland’s, Street (ClarksVillage), Glastonbury and many beautiful HamStoneVillages and N T properties.
We really are ideally and centrally situated for touring, walking, golf, riding, an over night stop, and a comfortable safe business base. We provide safe off road parking and secure parking for all bikes. And we are happy to provide washing / drying facilities should the weather turn nasty!
