Welcome to our cottage in the Lake District
Barn Cottage has two bedrooms, one double and one twin bedded plus one bathroom, (which fearures a free standing cast iron bath). There is a spacious lounge
, with woodburner stove and fully equipped kitchen.
Beds are made up, towels.firewood and electric are included in the price. Also a small welcome basker is waiting for you on arrival with home baked bread our own free range eggs and preserves.
There is an allotment about 5 min walk away over the village streem,where you can sit and look at the view of Skiddaw, or watch our hens.
Bassenthwaite is an attractive rural farming village. The Osprey nest nearby and at the view- point in Dodd Wood
is the Old Saw Mill tea room where our daughter serves delicious food.
The village stream flows nearby where ducks and hens roam, swings and paddling for the children.
The village inn 200m away provides good bar food.
Our cottage is located in Bassenthwaite near Keswick, Cumbria.
