It is built on land formerly owned by The Duchy of Cornwall, at the Western end of Newquay lying above the world famous Fistral beach.

Situated close to Fistral Beach (world-famous as the beach in Europe for surfing and surf competitions). Other nearby areas of outstanding natural beauty include the Pentire Headland, The River Gannel, Crantock and Holywell Beach with the Golf course of Newquay Golf club located just behind Fistral Beach. Within a few minutes walk there are small shops/off licence and several hotels offering meals to non-residents. The centre of Newquay is a 10 minute walk, therefore close enough for those who enjoy the night life but far enough away for those who prefer to enjoy the beaches, restaurants and the magnificent coastline.

Bear Cottage is dog friendly and has been equipped for year round use and to a very high specification. The attention to detail makes this property hard to beat. It is completely self-contained, carpeted and tiled throughout and fully equipped with everything necessary for an enjoyable self catering holiday. Beds are made up for your arrival, bed linen, towels and tea towels are included at no extra charge. A travel cot, highchair and stair gate are supplied as standard. Please supply your own beach towels. A maximum of 2 additional guests can be accommodated on a double sofa bed in the lounge. Additional guests are charged at 10% of the booking price. Location

By road Newquay is within easy access of the A30 dual carriageway (twelve miles) which is served by the recently improved A30 bypass at Indian Queens, knocking a good 30 minutes off the journey time in the busy summer periods.

Newquay also has an airport (5 miles from the town centre) with flights from the UK between Newquay, Dublin, Luton and Stansted, along with flights from Europe being added as well. Buses run from Newquay Airport to the Town Centre. Newquay railway station is in the town centre and National Express Coaches serve Newquay too.
