Broad Ings is a large Victorian country house, rumoured to have once been a hunting lodge of the Yellow Earl. It is set in it's own expansive private gardens and grounds with superb panoramic views over Lake Windermere and the surrounding mountains. It has many impressive walking routes, some literally from the doorstep!
The house retains many original features, whilst still providing all the modern facilities you would expect to find, and offers guests spacious high quality accommodation in a tranquil and secluded setting.
Broad Ings is just a short stroll from Lake Windermere and Ambleside village, in the heart of the English Lake District. Ambleside has a wide choice of cafes, bars, shops, restaurants and traditional pubs (many serving locally brewed real ales) a cinema (where "Withnail & I" premiered) and even it's own museum!
The house has been extensively and sympathetically refurbished for the 2010 season.
