Caldertop Cottage adjoins the owners’ farmhouse on a working sheep and stock rearing farm with spectacular views over open countryside. The cottage sleeps 5 people and 1 baby and has a double bedroom, twin bedroom, single bedroom, bathroom, kitchen / dining room, lounge, utility room and downstairs cloakroom. All bed linen, towels, electricity, central heating and wood and coal for the open fire are included. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement. Outside there is an enclosed garden with garden furniture, barbecue, swings, slide and trampoline. Relax in the garden in the evening and admire the beautiful sunsets. With central heating in all rooms and an open fire in the lounge, the cottage is also ideal for a break in the quieter / cooler times of the year. A welcome basket containing a selection of local produce, including bread, milk and free range eggs, will be ready on your arrival.
Only a 10 minute walk to the village of Calder Vale where there is a small shop and post office. Garstang, the world’s first fair-trade town, is 5 miles away where there are supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Caldertop Cottage is beautifully located for a family holiday, with lots to do right on the doorstep, yet within easy access of the M6. Superb location in Lancashire within easy travelling of the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. Ideal base for a walking, cycling holiday, with several footpaths and cycle routes on the doorstep, or to explore the pretty villages such as Scorton and Chipping and market towns of Lancashire like Garstang, Longridge and Clitheroe. It makes a great base for a wildlife watching holiday too, as we work closely with the RSPB to manage our land to encourage breeding birds.
