Our Central Scotland Location
Cloag Farm is seven miles west of Perth, just north of Methven Village on the A85, and is ideally positioned for exploring Perthshire with its legacy of castles and historic sites. Cloag Farm produces oats for porridge, barley for whisky and beer, and some wheat. Cloag Farm was the birthplace of Robert Stirling, the inventor of the Stirling engine.
There is a huge range of things to see and do in Perthshire, with its rich legacy of castles, churches, battlefields and historic sites. It is a wonderful place for hill walking, whether you are a beginner or a real stalwart. There are many different craft industries, making everything from whisky to glass paperweights, which can all be visited and sampled.
Situated in the beautiful region of Perthshire, in Central Scotland , our self catering holiday cottages are in the midst of some breathtaking scenery.
Golfers will appreciate the 37 golf courses within Perthshire itself. The modest green fees and the discovery that most courses are quiet, even in summer often pleasantly surprise our visitors.
Looking further afield, day trips to Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews, and even Loch Ness and Glencoe are popular with all our visitors, many of whom return to visit us again.
