Welcome to our self catering cottage in North Devon
The Coachman's Cottage in the grounds of an early Victorian country house estate with 50 acres of gardens, parkland, woodland and pasture close to Bideford in North Devon. It is adjacent and in the coach house at the rear of the main house.
In the cottage there is a sitting room with wood burning stove, TV and DVD player with Digi box and WiFi internet access. A kitchen/ dining room with microwave, fridge and electric cooker plus table and chairs. Upstairs there is a twin room and single room and bathroom.
Outside private garden with barbecue and seating adjacent to the Cottage. Guest can use of the grounds of the main house with lawns with wonderful views over a North Devon landscape of Bideford and the Torridge, hard tennis court, bamboo maze and 11 acres of woodland and nature trail.
Our North Devon Location
Our cottage is located one mile south of Bideford on the A386 to Great Torrington. Bideford is an excellent centre for touring with shops, restaurants and the burton art gallery. The boat to Lundy Island sails regularly from Bideford.
The south west coastal path can be accessed at Westward Ho! and various points along the coast.
The Tarka trail has 30 miles of cycling through countryside and estuary, there is an entrance half a mile from Hallsannery. If you are feeling energetic, cycle up the Torridge valley, 4 miles South of Torrington.
