Welcome to our Large Pet Friendly Lake District Cottage
Welcome to Dale End Farm, a wonderful large holiday cottage near Grasmere in the Lake District. The cottage provides excellent self catering accommodation for up to 11 people and pets are welcome. The cottage is situated just a mile from the popular Grasmere village in a wonderful location with views of Grasmere Lake and the fells. The cottage is great for family get-togethers, weddings, or gatherings of groups of friends in the Lake District.
Lake District Cottage Facilities
Dale End Farm is a traditional stone built, Lakeland farmhouse with many attractive features. The cottage has been carefully and lovingly restored to provide a high level of comfort, space and flexibility of self catering holiday accommodation. It sleeps up to 11 people in 5 bedrooms.
The entrance of the cottage is into a large hallway with sofa, bookshelves and a w.c. with hooks for coats and space for boots. The large lounge is entered down a step, and has seating for 12, as well as tv with sky, video, gas fire and superb views of the fells and Grasmere Lake. The lounge leads through into a comfortable study with its own tv and video, and additional seating for 7 people.
The traditional farmhouse kitchen has an aga, hob & oven, dishwasher and views to die for! A separate utility room houses a large fridge, freezer and sink. The dining room, accessed from both the kitchen and the hall, has a huge long table with spacious seating for 12. Off the dining room a door leads into the family bedroom on the ground floor, with double and single bed and an en-suite shower room.
Upstairs in the cottage are a further 4 bedrooms. passageway leads to the adjoining door between the farm and the barn, and then onto the master bedroom with wrought iron bed and en-suite bathroom, with elevated views out over the lake and fells beyond.
The second bedroom is another double with its own wash hand basin. The third bedroom is a twin room and the last upstairs bedroom is another double with en-suite bathroom hidden through mirrored doors. Also upstairs is an additional shower room and separate toilet.
To the front of the property, the garden is well laid out with mature shrubs, a small stream and wonderful views over the lake. A large patio with stunning views is accessed from the kitchen with steps leading down to the lower level of the garden with grassed area.
Well behaved pets and dogs are welcome at this Lake District holiday cottage.
Lake District Cottage Location
The holiday cottage is near Grasmere, in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Dale End Farm is situated one mile from Grasmere village along the winding Langdale/Red Bank Road. It occupies a magnificent position on the lower slopes of Silver Howe, overlooking Grasmere Lake, Heron Pike and the surrounding fells. This stunning location makes it the ideal place to explore the many attractions of the Lake District.
