Although we do not claim to offer luxury accommodation, as this would not be in keeping with the age-old way of life on Skye, our cottages are best described as comfortable and cosy in a traditional Highland sense. We want our guests to relax and unwind in an atmosphere of walking boots and outdoor living.
The cottages are comfortably furnished, centrally heated and well equipped. They each contain a colour TV, fully fitted kitchen with dining area, washing machine, tumble-dryer, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Bed linen, towels and electricity/heating charges are all included in the rental charge.
Gardens cottage enjoys a truly arboreal setting. Mature deciduous trees surround the house and its very private lawn to the rear. The house is extremely spacious and comfortably sleeps 6 in three bedrooms, (one double and two twin rooms, bathroom with shower over bath, living-room, dining-room and kitchen.
Rose Valley is a comfortable and interesting holiday home. Probably the most picturesque of our cottages, Rose Valley sleeps 6 in three bedrooms (one double and two twin rooms); living-room, bathroom with shower over bath and kitchen/dining-room. NB: First floor ceiling height is 6’2”.
Laundry Cottage is situated on a small promontory directly below Dunvegan Castle, this property enjoys the most scenic location of all our cottages. Built in the late 18th century for the Estate Factor, this cottage sleeps 6 in three bedrooms (one double/one twin and one bunk-bed), shower-room/WC open plan living/dining/kitchen area and apart from one step is all on one level. Due to the proximity of the castle and the Seal Boat Jetty, this area of the castle grounds can be lively and busy throughout the day at the height of the season.
A welcome basket awaits your arrival. It includes a complimentary invitation to visit Dunvegan Castle and information on what to see and do during your stay.
