The cottage accommodates five people in 1 double, 1 twin and 1 single bedroom. A cot is available if needed. Linen is provided and all beds are made up for your arrival.
The cottage is heated by electric night storage heating as well as a multifuel stove which adds extra comfort on winter evenings. There is usually a supply of smokeless fuel at the cottage and logs can be easily obtained locally.
The kitchen is very well equipped with an electric cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle etc. There is a wide range of cooking utensils and crockery. The kitchen is a comfortable place to cook for those who prefer home cooking although there are many enjoyable restaurants, pubs and cafes in the area!
The utility room just off the dining room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also an ironing board and iron in the cottage.
There is a comfortable tiled bathroom with bath, power shower and shaver point. It is possible to see the Coniston fells and the 'Old Man' whilst taking a bath!
Ellis Howe is well stocked with entertainment. It has a colour TV/DVD and a CD player/radio. The study has a number of games,videos, books , maps and magazines as well as an essential pair of binoculars for watching the ever changing fells.
