Welcome to our Highland self catering cottage
On arrival you can park your car at the front of the house. On entering, the kitchen/dinning room is on your right. The kitchen is fully equipped for your stay. To the left is the lounge, this is the gable end of the house and has an original granite stone wall into which a multi fuel stove sits for cosy relaxing evenings. A television and DVD player and games are available if you are still feeling active.The bedrooms and the bathroom are all upstairs. The master room has a king sized bed and the 2nd room has bunks and a single bed. The bathroom has both a bath and an electric shower.
There is a garden outside where you can enjoy the sun and maybe a bar-b-q.
The town centre is a short stroll allowing you to walk to the shops during the day or a choice of resturants in the evening.
Grantown is an excellent base for exploring the highlands. Inverness, Loch Ness,the Black isle, even Skye and Balmoral are all accesible as day trips. The surrounding countryside has much to offer. Fishing, golf, walking,ornithology, the whiskey trail, cycling, water sports are all on offer. There is a lovely steam railway that runs from Aviemore to Broomhill, or you could visit the reindeer centre. A brochure in the cottage gives you suggestions of where you can go and what you can do.
