Welcome to Fairlight Guesthouse and Bed and Breakfast in Glenridding, Cumbria in the heart of the Lake District. Our family run bed and breakfast is in an ideal central location, close to Ullswater and Helvellyn. Our Lake District B&B has recently been completely refurbished and now offers quality bed and breakfast accommodation with excellent facilities in an ideal Lakeland location.
We have 7 high quality ensuite guest bedrooms, as well as a well equipped bar and restaurant. We welcome walkers, families, groups of friends – in fact anyone wishing to enjoy the scenery and attraction of the Lake District. We are also close to the Inn on the Lake Hotel for wedding guests.
Our Lake District Bed and Breakfast Accommodation
Our seven guest bedrooms have all been recently refurbished to a high standard. Our family run B&B offers friendly and warm high levels of service which matches our exclusive and luxurious accommodation. We offer excellent breakfasts, and our café is open throughout the day. We also offer evening meals at our restaurant and have a well stocked licensed bar.
All our rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, LCD TVs, luxury ensuite bathrooms (with either bath or shower) and quality fixtures and fittings. Many also have sofas to make your stay even more comfortable! We have 3 excellent double bedrooms, 2 family rooms (sleeping 4 and 3 respectively) and 2 twin rooms. Our bed and breakfast therefore has a total capacity of 18 people, making it ideal for large groups of families or friends looking for a break in the Lake District. Several of our bedrooms are on the ground floor and are ideal for less able visitors to the Lake District.
Our Lake District Location in Glenridding, by Ullswater
Our bed and breakfast is located in the centre of Glenridding, in Cumbria, in the Lake District National Park. There are many things to do and places to see in and around Glenridding and the neighbouring village of Patterdale.
Ullswater, a 2 minute walk from the B&B, is the second longest lake in the Lake District and seen by many as England's most beautiful lake. The famous Ullswater Steamers which run from Glenridding to Howtown and Pooley Bridge are just a 10 minute walk from our guest house. You can also hire boats and canoes at the Glenridding Sailing centre, again less than 10 minutes away by foot.
For walkers and climbers, and anyone looking to enjoy the Lake District fells, our B&B nestles at the foot of the Helvellyn range, home to Helvellyn itself, and other great fells such as St Sunday Crag, Dollywaggon Pike and Catsycam. On the other side of Ullswater is the less well known but equally beautiful Place Fell, and the old Roman Road of High Street.
Glenridding also has a good range of places to eat and drink. There are a range of local shops, one with a cash machine, and a Post Office in nearby Patterdale.
