Off the hall to the right is a large comfortable sitting room with sofas and easy chairs. Again the room is dominated by a large stone fireplace.
The Farmhouse offers very spacious and rather grand accommodation. It preserves most of its original features including exposed beams, brick and stone walls and beautiful tiled floors.
The Gite is attached to the southern end of the Farmhouse but is entirely private. The main entrance leads off a covered terrace into a small entrance porch. This enters into an open plan kitchen/dining area with fully fitted kitchen and dining table and chairs. French windows with a view towards the swimming pool open to the garden.
A short flight of 3 steps takes us up to the sitting room which has a sofa and easy chairs and a wood burning stove. A Staircase leads up to the bedroom which has a Super King size double bed and ensuite shower room with toilet and sink.
The Gite offers very unusual and quite spacious accommodation. It was converted from a stable and retains much of the original wood work. It is entirely open plan on 3 levels with the bedroom overlooking the sitting room below. The most impressive feature of the gite is the exposed original 'A' frame roof structure.
Location
Our accommodation is located just 4 minutes drive to the picturesque Medieval village of Issigeac. It is less than an hours' drive to most of the 'must see' attractions in the Dordogne.
