Our house has four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a 10 meter long drawing room with book and game lined shelves and a glorious open log fireplace, dining room seating 14 with china & glassware to suit, modern kitchen and utility areas. Large garden with lawns, summer houses, barbecue, a stream and level parking areas. Everywhere is spacious. Centrally heated throughout and open log/coal fires. Suitable for the ambulant disabled. Sat TV & WiFi.
Our Scottish Borders Location
Our house is set among the rolling Cheviot Hills on the edge of the tiny village of Hownam in the Scottish Borders. Located very close to the Dere Street and St Cuthbert’s Way, our holiday home is a hill walker’s paradise: just put your boots on and step out of the door. There are trails for mountain biking; Roman ruins for exploring; rivers for fishing; nature for enjoying and; wide open spaces for getting away from it all; not to mention the historic Border Abbey towns of Kelso and Jedburgh within 9 miles, each with numerous attractions, shopping, pubs, restaurants..
