Welcome to our Large Holiday Cottage With a Swimming Pool
Gostelow House is a beautiful large self catering house in Chalton, near Luton in Bedfordshire. The cottage sleeps up to 14 people in 5 tastefully furnished bedrooms, a Futon in the Study and a sofabed in the lounge, there are 2 bathrooms and a cloakroom. The house is a Grade II listed building built around 1540, surrounded by a wonderful three-quarter acre secure garden. There is an outdoor (unheated) swimming pool, bar, patio area and barbecues for your use. This family house is of half timbered Tudor design, and whilst it retains its character with inglenook fireplaces and low ceilings and beams, it has all the modern facilities guests would expect from first class self catering holiday accommodation.
The holiday cottage is located in the small village of Chalton, in Bedfordshire. Chalton has a local farm selling fresh free range eggs and meat. There is also a pub which serves excellent food, literally around the corner from the house.
Toddington is just two miles away, and this larger village has an historic church, a library, a number of shops and takeaways, as well as seven pubs. Leagrave, a suburb of Luton, is three miles away with fast access to London (45 mins) and Bedford (20 mins). Milton Keynes, 15 miles to the north, offers a wealth of shopping, entertainment and sporting facilities. This is complemented by the town of Luton, which is seven miles to the south, also offering shopping and entertainment facilities along with all other amenities.
Bedfordshire and the area surrounding the holiday cottage has a great range of attractions and things to do including Woburn Abbey and St Albans Cathedral. Oxford and Cambridge are also accessible within an hour by car from the cottage.
